Firstly I’m really happy for my brother’s gift ( this website ) 🙂 . And I welcome you all to lallyz.com. Here I go with my first post on this site.
This is a picture heavy post of an album made for my dad on his birthday. I was busy doing my work and then suddenly realised I have got only 2 days time to make something for my dad on his birthday. So started working with some cardboard scrap that I found in the house. Here is the detailed procedure of how I made the album.
Basically I wanted to make an album of my dad with the letters DAD . As I did’nt have enough time to order one, I had to cut cardboard into these letters all by myself. Each letter of DAD resembled a page of the album .
You can see the edges rough as I had to shape it with a regular craft knife. After shaping the letters I covered them with pattern paper for a decent look :).
Then started the fun part i.e embellishing it . Pasted few photos of my dad and then added loads of embellishments (teddys, stickers, hearts…) . Used a ribbon to tie all the pages together as the binding ring that I had was too large for the album .
The teddy on the front page is stamped , colored , cut and stuck with dimensional adhesive . Also made a few photo corners with handmade paper.
The alphabets MY HERO are stencilled and cut from foam sheets. Other stickers are from a Birthday themed sticker sheet bought in a local stationary store.
Butterfly and flowers are punched from a glitter foam sheet using my punches. Except for shaping the album all the other part hardly took half a day .
And Here is the final look of the album 🙂 🙂 .
Well that is how I made this album. Sorry for such a heavy, picture overloaded and long post 🙁 .
Hope you like it 🙂 .
